 Vetiver, a member of the grass family, is grown for numerous reasons.  Unlike other grasses, vetiver's root system grows downward. This makes this grass ideal for counteracting erosion and stabilizing the soil.  Vetiver has a powerful, exotic and complex aroma that is often used in perfumes.  Vetiver's calming and grounding properties make it an ideal oil for massage therapy.  It can also be used before bed to create a calming environment. 
 
 application
 Run warm water in the bathtub and add a few drops of Vetiver essential oil to induce deep relaxation  
 Apply the oil to the soles of your feet before bed to create a restful environment before sleep
 Use in a soothing massage after a long day on your feet 
 Blend with Lavender, doTERRA Serenity, or doTERRA Balance to promote a sense of calm and a grounding effect

 Application Notes
 Mix 5 drops with 10 ml carrier oil for massage.  As a bath additive, mix 5 drops with 5 ml of carrier oil.  For fragrance, mix 1 drop with 10 drops of carrier oil.
